You carry your pain with such grace and beauty,

hiding your scars beneath

the wings of a butterfly.

The Sunlight Was Stolen from My Eyes

And the light it came to find me,

and it held more hope than the sky,

for this morning star empty of wishes

could only dream of sunrise.
