A Poem for Nature Lovers ~ When the Forest Sings

When the Forest Sings

The wind is rustling the leaves of the trees
and the birds are singing along,
as I walk through the forest
listening to nature's song.

She Holds Seeds of Wishes That Are Starting to Bloom - Scottish Heather Poem

Scottish Heather

She's like the sunlight
and sweet summer air,
wearing sprigs of white heather
in her strawberry hair.
Her heart is golden,
her eyes sea blue,
she holds seeds of wishes
that are starting to bloom

Christy Ann Martine

I wrote this poem for my lovely daughter Heather, you can find it in my poetry book

The Sunlight Was Stolen from My Eyes

And the light it came to find me,
and it held more hope than the sky,
for this morning star empty of wishes
could only dream of sunrise.

My Hope for You

I'm always hoping that I can help, comfort or inspire others in some way through my writing. I want others to know that no matter how sad or lonely they feel, they are not alone in this world. Have faith in yourself, you are beautiful, and when you get the chance, I hope you'll fly.

I hope that life gives you wings, and you have the courage to use them.

Keep Shining!

I won't let the darkness hide my inner light,
I will burn with the brightest stars in the night.

A Poem about Loving Someone with Depression

I wish I could take the colors from a rainbow and place them into your heart....

When Your World Moves Too Fast Poem

When your world moves too fast
and you lose yourself in the chaos,
introduce yourself
to each color of the sunset.
Reacquaint yourself with the earth
beneath your feet.
Thank the air that surrounds you
with every breath you take.
Find yourself in the appreciation of life.

The Spark of Adoration Poem - Her Red Hair Burns Like the Rays of the Sun

I wrote the Spark of Adoration poem for my daughter Sarah (she is the girl with the long, beautiful red hair featured in the photo below). The typed version of the poem is available in my Etsy Shop (the link is at the top of the blog). I also offer typed versions that switch blue eyes, with brown or green eyes for the redheads who don't have blue eyes.

The wonderful thing about the Spark of Adoration poem is that even though it's about love and beauty it isn't just for romantic couples. I've had men purchase the poem on Etsy to give to their girlfriend and wives but I've also had mothers and daughters buy the poem for one another and friends who purchase it as a gift for their favorite redheaded friend. Best of all I've had redheads who buy the poem for themselves!

Feel free to share this poem with your favorite redhead, as long as my name is included with the poem I don't mind you sharing!

The Girl On Fire Poem

The girl on fire poem tells the story of a young couple falling in love. The beautiful girl is independant and nearly unattainable, but the dark haired boy swoops in to capture her heart.

The raven-haired boy
swooped down to admire
the girl on fire,
he reached for her as
she danced in the flames,
singeing his wings on desire.
She gave him her hand and
he took her to new heights
where she burned
as bright as the stars.
